The Land

Eric and I have been sick this past week so Mason gets to snuggle in our bed and watch his "shows" when we don't feel like getting up.

My in-laws sold their house a few months ago and have since been living in Smithville, TN. They recently purchased a piece of land on Goose Creek and are about to begin the "familiar" process of building a home. This weekend was a beautiful (mid 70's) so we went to check out the land they will be building on. The 5 acre lot is absolutely gorgeous. The driveway is lined with trees and it has a lake behind it with ducks and geese! Mason loved running around, and quacking at the ducks. We've already decided this is the location of his 2nd birthday party. We actually went Saturday (just Eric, Mason, and I) and then again today with the rest of the family (minus Ryan).

Videos 2 and 3

Here is the last you will hear of our cruise. The final videos are from Florence, Naples, Rome, And Venice. We must have forgotten the camera when we stopped at Split, Croatia and Corfu, Greece...or there was nothing interesting to capture there since I have no footage from those ports. Enjoy!

Better Late Than Never- Part 1

I've been working on getting our video from our trip to the Mediterranean compiled into one long video. I am having to separate it into several different videos since the files are so large and I am not tech savvy (or patient) enough to figure out how to compress the files..or whatever you have to do. Anyway, this video is our first few days in Europe (Barcelona, Villefranche, and part of Florence) More to come from the rest of our trip.

Last week's photos

Mason had pictures at school last week. He was so excited to wear his tie to school. I already put his jacket on before I took this photo, but I will post his school picture once we get it.

I decided to buy some silly string at Target this week because I thought Mason would love it. Well, as you can see from the photo below, he clearly did not!

I started a new job this week where I will be working from home some. We decided to move my office downstairs so we have been rearranging furniture around the house quite a bit. Mason decided he needed to move some things around too. I guess he thought the trash can needed to go in the center of the kitchen floor.

He hugs on "Bobby" and "Frank" after his naps. He loves them so much!

Halloween Weekend

This weekend was jam packed with Halloween parties and events. Starting Friday at 4:00, Mason got dressed in his Nemo costume and headed to Daddy's office where all the employee's kids came to trick or treat. This is Junior. He is the Dave Ramsey's kids mascot. Mason adored him and did not want to leave. He gave Junior lots of hugs, and high fives.

Jacob Blaylock and Mason. Jacob's daddy works in Eric's Dpt. Cutest little Nemo's ever.

Mason found a girlfriend. Their eyes met in the hallway and they started kissing and hugging and holding hands. We finally had to pull them away from each other.

After Trick or Treating at Daddy's office we headed to Gallatin to our friend, Wyatt Napier's 2nd birthday party. I left my camera in the car so I don't have any pictures of that but I am sure they will be posted here soon.

Saturday morning we headed to Pumpkinfest in Downtown Franklin along with the rest of Williamson county. It only took us half an hour to find a parking place and once we got there we wondered why we came. However, I couldn't resist putting Mason in his costume again and strolling him around the square.

Playing with Daddy in the kiddie section.

We stopped to play in the colorful leaves on our way out. You can see in the photo below, Mason was in mid-yawn. Yep. he was done and ready for a nap.

And now for the big event: Halloween night! We went to Brooke's new house in Tollgate and went trick or treating there. Taking a picture of three kids ages 3 and under is impossible. This is the best one we got.

When the doors opened, Mason thought he was supposed to go inside the house. He tried to push his way past several strangers to check out their place before we grabbed him. He didn't quite grasp the point of all this madness but went along with it to make his parents happy.
