This week we celebrated Myla turning 6 months old AND our 8th wedding anniversary. I can't believe both of these things have happened so fast. Eric and I celebrated our anniversary last weekend by going to our all time favorite restaurant Suzy Wongs House of Yum. Tomorrow morning we are heading to the beach for our first trip as a family of four. Can't wait for 8 hours in the car with these kids. It will definitely be an adventure.
Eric gave me two dozen roses for our anniversary. I failed miserably in the gift giving department this year and didn't get him anything. Can I still use baby brain as an excuse?
Myla is growing up so fast and her little personality has blossomed over the last month. She still loves her exersaucer and spends quite a bit of time there. She seems to be a busy body because she doesn't want to be left alone to just sit there. She needs to be interacting or exploring her surroundings. She loves to fly like a plane and raspberries on her tummy. She also likes it when Mason pats her tummy and her booty after I change her diaper. About three weeks ago so cut her bottom two teeth and she was miserable. This last week she's had the runny nose/congestion/coughing crud that is going around which turned into her first ear infection. Even though she sounds awful her temperament is still happy and easygoing. She is sitting up great now and has started on rice cereal about once a day. We'll move along to the bigger foods soon. I'm in no rush because I detest the baby food stage. It's messy, expensive, and a pain in the butt.

Check out her bottom teeth!
I hate reading long blog post so I generally try not to write too much but if your still hanging with me, I will update you on Mason too. He loves going to preschool and is learning a letter of the alphabet each week. He gets to bring in one item for show and tell that begins with the letter they are learning that week. He is really interested in learning his left from his right. Every time we turn in the car, he asked me "Is this left or right" He guesses correctly about 95% of the time. Mason is very interested in the days of the week (another thing they are learning at preschool). He is always asking me what day is today and then he asks, "when we eat dinner tonight, what day will it be then?" Ha!
His new obsession is Annie. It is so cute to hear him sing the soundtrack and he loves to imitate Ms. Hannigan in a whiny voice. He still loves Toy Story but I asked him yesterday which he liked better and he said Annie. We might be moving on from the Toy Story world.
Mason is a bundle of energy and desires structured activities so in efforts to channel that extra energy, he is going to be going to Let it Shine once a week for the Little Shiners Club. It's a small group of kids that get to play in the gym from 9-3. They get to jump on the trampolines, play in the foam pit, play games, and do some structured learning. He went today and loved it.
